Designing and Delivering Virtual Learning for Autistic People

A Talk by Lex Farndell (Transformation and Culture Director, Naked Training)

About this Talk

My name is Lex Farndell and in this session I will be chatting to Rachel Birch from Scottish Autism. I've spent a great deal of time ensuring that my face to face workshops are as neurofriendly as possible but have recently began to chat to some autistic/neurodiverse people about their on-line experiences of learning, tying to gain a feel for how that's working out for them.

Rachel is a Services Manager who looks after a large team of people providing direct care and support to autistic people in Scotland, she is also autistic herself. Rachel has been speaking to others in the autistic community about managing life and work under the spotlight of a camera, and she's also taken part in quite a few pieces of development online, so has some really useful insight to share. We will have a facilitated Q&A where we can answer and of your questions or hear your thoughts.

I’m Lex and I’m a coach and world-class facilitator, what’s more, I’m madly passionate about what I do. I am a behaviourist and run clever team events that bring people closer together while strengthening their psychological contract with each other. I run engaging conferences that connect leadership teams with their staffing groups in meaningful ways. I’m a leadership coach and a world-class business skills trainer. I am also a certified Mediator and I cut my teeth in OD/HR/L&D departments. I am now gaining a reputation for effectively dealing with ‘blood on the carpet’ bust-ups, effectively steering situations away from escalation routes and keeping them in a place of reason.
